Become Bejeweled:

Now before you think we're referring to the 90's BeDazzler that you would deck out your denim jacket with or hair scrunchies, let's set the facts straight. We're talking about our dear friend Loree Rodkin; designer to a well acclaimed jewelry line, couture eye wear & fragrance collection along with an inductee to the Smithsonian Museum. Yeah, big time! Loree hit the scene hard with her beautiful bondage ring catching the eye of not only the top celebs, but team TYSA as well. Mixing an element of modern with medieval, Loree's nonconformist vision is fresh and inspiring. If we can't rant and rave enough about Ms. Rodkin, let us just throw in that she made our First Lady's inaugural jewelry. Check out the photos below that team TYSA is super hyped on.

Breaking it Down.

As we take a deep breath and zen out for a hot second, Team TYSA would love to share a recap with y'all about what we've been up to and some photos to go with.

It starts off about 4 weeks ago when we headed up North on a road trip to see all our lovely stores in San Fran & Napa Valley where the oil line was first shown. As always, it was a great trip and came back with great orders & lots of wine! Below is some friendly faces along the way.

(Buyers shopping the new Spring 2011 collection)

We were back for literally less than 10 hours before Team TYSA was off to Sin City for some fashion mayhem at PROJECT. What a crazy 4 days, but so worth it. We met with tons of new stores spreading the TYSA Love and felt inspired by all the wonderful energy that was buzzing around. The TYSA oil line was a major success and our visual display for the oil launch rocked the house. Below is some snap shot of the booth.

Just when we thought things couldn't get better with the success of the Spring 2011 collection & the oil line one of our Team TYSA members stumble upon a marquee with the great Dylan's name on it. If you guessed the Mr. Bob Dylan then pat yourself on the back for a guessing well done. Can we just say AMAZING! For those that have heard rumors about the Dylan's performances all we can say is that he rocked the Cesar Palace and our hearts. Below is a sneaky photo one of our Team TYSA secret agents snapped.

( Bob Dylan getting down on the keys. )

As we gear towards next week and d&a in New York we can't say enough how grateful we are for all the hustle & bustle of excitement. Ah, New York, if felt like just last month we saw you........wait, it was! LOL. Until next time, keep spread'n the TYSA Love. xo-TYSA

Whose Wearing TYSA

The saying "you are what you eat" goes hand in hand with "you are who you wear". Fortunately for our fabulous TYSA followers being who you are by what you wear isn't going to break your bank or quickly fall out of style. The classic cuts that amplify a woman's body, the friendly fabrications and the fair price points that make you feel on the up & up will defiantly put you ahead of the curve when it comes judgement day to your fellow fashionistas. And with that said we here at TYSA world feel like you should be recognized for your suave efforts and LOVE & support of TYSA. The "Whose Wearing TYSA" is our way of putting you on the cover page of what the line represents, the beautiful women whose wearing it and a fun way to see how others transform the same piece you have.

Now, here's how it all works. You start by purchasing a hot little number that's at your local TYSA carrying store or if you already have a closet full start having yourself a photoshoot. However you want to be seen wearing your TYSA gear is how we want you to submit the picture. Next you post it on our Facebook fan page wall where we can all comment how beautiful you look and so forth. There really isn't anything too complicated about the "Whose Wearing TYSA", this is fun, effortless and inspiring; just like the line! Team TYSA is looking forward to all the fabulous ways people are sporting TYSA around the world. Below is an example by the lovely Ms. Jennifer Love Hewitt who showed us in OK Magazine how she sports her white Ibiza dress.

"White Ibiza Dress"

Now is your time to shine, so hurry up - take those photos & let's see what you've got. We'll keep you posted with future updates of more TYSA activities and fun ways to win free TYSA gear! Spreading the TYSA LOVE is what we aim to do. Over & Out. xo-TYSA

Press to Impress:

The cat is out of the bag, TYSA has a new leading lady on board and we couldn't be happier. Miss Italy's Fiorella Migliore will be seen sporting TYSA Spring 2011. And it doesn't stop there; world known makeup artist & columnist for Beauty News NYC Kerry Malouf declared her love for the line.

“She always leaves me wondering what will her creative mind come up with next and she inspires me with her collection every season.”

(Headdress by our friend Esther Jean: http://www.estherjean.com/)

The article talks more about makeup techniques and colors to mix & match with your TYSA wardrobe.

“To go along with the designer TYSA, whose inspirational collection is gypsy-like and free spirited, I decided to focus on Fiorella’s beautiful eyes by creating mysterious, smoky lids and light but smoky and full lashes, along with strawberry-kissed cheeks and soft , sheer berry for the lips.”

We can't wait for you to get your hands on the Summer 2011 collection. Stay tuned & read the article: http://www.beautynewsnyc.com/beauty/beauty-insider-with-kerry-malouf-inspiration/

Summer Delights:

Ah, Summer time how we love your beautiful sun beam rays, gorgeous blue sky & the perfect beach weather. Makes us here at team TYSA want to dip our fingers into the cookie jar. Something about a warm Summer's day and delicious sweets go hand in hand. For those of you who have the same urge to whip up some tasty treats for a fun back yard hang out with friends or a picnic at the park; here are some killer recipes that we're totally smitten with.

Found these yummy delights off "Recipes with a side of life". The perfect 3pm pick me up.

Chocolate Cupcakes with Coffee Icing- a Vegan Recipe

If you don't care for the taste of coffee, use rice milk in the batter in place of the coffee and make a vanilla or chocolate flavored icing.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 12-cup cupcake pan withparchment or paper liners.

Whisk together the dry ingredients:

3/4 rounded cup sorghum flour
1/2 cup unsweetenedcocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon xanthan gum

Add in and beat till smooth:

1 cup warm coffee (not too hot or it will make the potato starch gluey)
1 tablespoon Ener-G EggReplacer beaten with 1/4 cup warm water
3 tablespoons light olive oil
1/2 teaspoon light tasting rice vinegar

Beat the batter for a full two to three minutes until all the ingredients are incorporated and the batter is smooth.

Using an ice cream scoop, plop the batter into the cups and smooth the tops.

Bake in the center of a preheated oven till done- about 20 minutes or so.

Cool the cupcakes on a wire rack (don't let them sit in the baking pan too long or they'll get soggy).

Frost when completely cooled. See recipe for coffee flavored icing below.
